Meet The Springer Squad | Doggy Day Care Tadcaster
If there’s something strange in your neighbourhood, who you gonna call?
The Springer Squad!
Welcome to another River Dog’s Dog Blog! I’m not sure whether any of our readers have heard the word on the street, but things have got a little tense on the Doggy Day Care Tadcaster scene. There’s been some unsavoury characters sneaking around the town at night, and there’s also been reports of bags of dog food going missing from the local hardware store. As exemplary citizens, we knew that we had to put a stop to this disorderly behaviour.
We’ve put together a special crime-fighting faction of River Dogs called The Springer Squad, and they’re ready for action!
Meet The Springer Squad – The Long Paw Of The Law
Hi everyone. Sergeant Isla, Corporal Fenton, Lieutenant Lenny and Captain Archie reporting for duty. You’re about to step into our Springer Squad training session, so pay attention and button up that shirt because you’re at River Dogs HQ now! It might look as though we’re just stood around wagging our tails, but we’re deep in the middle of a training regime that has been set up for us by the man in shorts (he’s our commander in chief, but he always gives us a tummy tickle after each drill).
We’re about to take on a new operation that will see us walking into the very heart of Tadcaster on patrol. We call it operation ‘Spring In Your Step’ (it’s got a nice ring to it, don’t you think?). Today we’re learning how to sniff silently, how to sneak up on suspicious looking ducks, and also how to tell whether the nice lady who tickles us behind our ears has any treats in her pocket (ok, that’s just one that we’re learning for ourselves).
Doggy Day Care Tadcaster – Springer Squad Training
Whenever we’re at River Dogs HQ together we always start the day off with some circuit training. It might look a little bit like ‘piggy in the middle’ to you, but it’s actually a very high-tech training routine that we’ve put together to exercise our bodies and our minds…(ok, it is piggy in the middle, it’s just a lot of fun and we love it!).
After about an hour of exercise we take a little nap, and then we talk about the cases of the day and go on patrol with the man in shorts. The four of us spotted a shady looking character down by the River Wharfe the other day; he had small legs, croaked a lot, and hopped around like a jack-in-a-box. On closer inspection, Corporal Fenton deduced that it was either a tiny kangaroo or a frog, so we went about our business and let it off with a caution.
Joining The River Dogs Springer Squad
This was the promotional poster that we used to coax recruits to sign up for the Springer Squad. It might look cute, but the Doggy Day Care Tadcaster scene is a tough world (it’s dog eat dog – not literally of course!) We’re excited to announce that our poster worked, and we have a new recruit joining the team very soon. General Parker joins the Springer Squad later this year, and we’re looking forward to having some new blood in the regiment (and someone who can give the man in shorts a nip on the ankle if he steps out of line).
A Job Well Done
After a busy day training, napping, patrolling and napping, we like to take a little nap to reward ourselves for all of our hard work. There’s no better place to relax than at the River Dog’s HQ, with it’s soft sofa’s, comfy cushions and ‘pawsome’ play mats. Don’t be fooled though; we might look as though we’re very relaxed, but were always ready for action – just as long as it’s not raining, lightening, thundering or snowing that is!
Thank’s for checking out what it’s like to be in the Springer Squad! We hope that you learnt a thing or two about how to keep the streets safe, and we hope that you come back for a visit very soon!
Cant wait for the next Dog Blog? Why not head back and check out Tadcaster Doggy Day Care Ronda and her rainy adventures, or perhaps you want to meet Doggy Day Care In Tadcaster brothers
Junior and Dave!
