Doggy Day Care – A Day In The Life Of Superstar Spaniel Bess

Hello everyone! My name’s Bess, and welcome to my first ever Dog Blog for River Dogs! (Hi Mum🐾!!) They’ve asked me to document what it’s like to visit their HQ in Tadcaster, kind of like a ‘day in the life of’ story about doggy day care! Well…here goes!

Doggy Day Care – A Day In The Life Of Superstar Spaniel Bess!

Our day care unit provides a consistent, fun and caring setting for your dog to play, relax and socialise so you can focus & concentrate on the day job.

So i’m Bess (that’s me on the right giving the cheeky grin), and I loooove coming to River Dogs! I like to go on long walks with my best friend Buffy (can you see Buffy on the left? She doesn’t like the camera but she’s super super cool. P.S HI MUM). We go walking together every Wednesday and talk about what we’ve watched on the TV with our owners, how many clouds we’ve seen, what type of fabric conditioner our beds have been washed in, if we’ve had our nails cut; that sort of thing!

This is me and Buffy on a walk yesterday. She was pretty tired from catching up on the Eastenders omnibus with her owners the night before and kept bumping into me (she’s so silly!)

Playtime

We got back to River Dogs (they do great doggy day care by the way) and decided to have a game of Hide and Seek! I’m the best at hiding; my mum always tells me that I’m a super good hider so I knew I was always going to win; even Buffy couldn’t find me and she knows me better than anyone! The nice lady who brings us our dinner took a picture of me to show my mum; I think you’ll agree that I’m pretty hard to spot!  (Can you see me Mum?)

Then the most amazing thing happened to me. I like hanging around with all of my friends at River Dogs, but sometimes I get a little bit lost amongst the bigger dogs, especially when they are practicing for the River Dogs football matches. Anyway, I was fast asleep dreaming about wining spaniel of the year for the fourth year running, and then I woke up and realised that I was the only dog in the play area! I couldn’t quite believe it, so much so that I immediately made the most of it. The man in shorts who walks us said it was the nicest thing that he’d ever seen, and he filmed it so I could show my mum (HI MUM!!).

Bess’s Best Day Roundup!

So, I guess I better round up my doggy day care experience here at River Dogs! The staff are all very friendly, they keep my coat looking glossy and nice (I get compliments about it all of the time), and I’ve always got so much to tell my Mum when I get home. I love exploring the River Wharfe with Buffy, and I can’t wait for next weeks walk to catch up with her! (She’s made a new dance routine that I’m excited to try out.)

Look out for another of my blogs coming real soon, but for now you should definitely check out ‘River Dogs Norman‘, Norman’s first ever blog!

Bye everyone, and thanks for reading!
