Doggy Christmas Present Guide | Get Your Pooch The Perfect Gift!
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas here in Tadcaster, and the River Dogs are all writing their Doggy Christmas present lists to Santa Paws. The Man in Shorts is collecting them all up and getting ready to drive them to the North Pole personally (this was Helen’s idea so that she can get a little bit of peace and quiet over the Christmas season), and all that’s left to do now is to wait for the big day itself. But what have our four-legged friends put on their Christmas lists, I hear you ask. Well, here’s a few snippets to give you an idea of what they want (just in case the man in shorts gets lost somewhere around Greenland).
1. Furbo Dog Camera With Treat Dispenser
Now while we would obviously rather you brought your furry friends to River Dogs while you’re out and about at work or doing the shopping, there will always be times where you can’t get them to Tadcaster or where you simply have no other choice but to leave them in the house. That’s where Furbo comes in, a treat-dispensing device with two-way audio and an HD camera so that you can both see and hear your dog no matter where you are. It has a bark sensor so that you can be alerted via your smartphone when your dog is feeling distressed, and you can also control it through Amazon Alexa. Keep your pooch happy with the most hi-tech Doggy Christmas Present ever!
2. Personalised Dog Bowl
Contrary to popular belief, Dogs hate sharing their food with other dogs, or that’s what Nelly told us last week at any rate. They like to have their own unique bowl, just like we enjoy having our own special tea mug, so what better Doggy Christmas present to give than a personalised bowl with your pets own name on. Not only that, but you can put their little picture on their too. So, if you’re lucky enough to have multiple pups running around the house, then they can spot their portrait on the bowl! Click below to design your dog-bowl and get it delivered before Christmas!
3. Doggy Beer ‘Bottom Sniffer’
Why should us ‘two-legs’ have all of the fun when it comes to after-dinner drinks on Christmas Day? Let your pooch join in with the revelry with the third item on our Doggy Christmas Present guide, Bottom Sniffer Doggy Beer. Now I know what you’re thinking and no, we haven’t gone mad. This non-alcoholic, non-carbonated beer is the perfect addition to those special turkey-flavoured dog biscuits that you’ve bought in for the big day. Now all you need to do is to teach your dog the words to all of the songs in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and your Christmas Day will be complete!
4. A Cushion Just For Your Pooch
Why is that every time you want to sit on the sofa, your dog always seems to have got their first? It’s a typical scene that we all experience, and it turns out that they don’t like it when you push them off just so that you can sit on your favourite cushion. Now, if they had their own cushion, then they could have their own space on the sofa reserved for them whenever they wanted, which is precisely the issue that this next Doggy Christmas present solves! Personalise a poochy pillow with your dog’s name and a silhouette of their breed, and then sit back and watch as they snuggle into their very own private seat every night of the week. Now all that’s left to argue about is who gets control of the remote – looks like it’s Paw Patrol for the fourth night in a row then eh!
5. Kong Wild Knots Bear Dog Toy
When it comes to some of our toughest looking River Dogs, it turns out that they’re just as soft and fluffy on the inside as some of the new pups that come through our doors. A lot of their Doggy Christmas present lists all have a specific toy on them, which must mean that it’s pretty sought after in the canine world. We’re talking about the KONG Wild Knots Bear Dog Toy. With a knotted internal skeleton, plush outside and minimum stuffing for less mess, this Bear is a comforting companion that will help to relax your dog whenever you leave the house. Plus it also has a squeak too – no Christmas Day is complete with the high pitched sound of your dog’s new toy, am I right?! Click below to get yours off Amazon!
6. Paw Balm
This 100% lickable dog balm is perfect for dry skin, rough paws, and itchy pads. If walking is starting to take its toll on your dog’s feet, then this natural mango butter, drug-free, chemical-free ointment will soothe those aching pads and get them back into the woods in no time. It’s made from the highest quality skincare ingredients and comes with a money-back ‘Pawsome Guarantee’, so give it a try and see what you and your pupster think!
7. Personalised Blanket
Nights can get cold on the Tadcaster Doggy Day Care scene, which is why a lot of our little customers have asked the Man in Shorts to get them a personalised blanket to take home with them from the fat man in red. Printed with a little cartoon logo of your favourite pupster, these luxury blankets will keep your furry friends nice and cosy as they snooze in their favourite chair (on their personalised cushion!) and are great for warming up after a run-around in the snow. 8. KONG Squeaker Air Balls
Dog’s dream about chasing balls every time they go to sleep – they simply can’t help it! Our River Dogs love to play a bit of catch whenever they can, and if they’re not playing catch, then they are usually playing ‘nose-ball’ or collecting their favourite tennis balls into a pile and counting them lovingly. Nearly every Doggy Christmas present list has a KONG Squeaker Air Ball on it, making it the most asked for gift of 2018! Sticks were last decade’s news; grab a safe and colourful toy for your dog to fetch today!
9. Doggy Selection Box
No Doggy Christmas Present Guide list is complete without that most anti-climactic of all presents; the selection box. While trying to disguise them might be a complete waste of time, they do provide that much-needed choccy-fix when all of the other snacks have disappeared. This doggy selection box is full of doggalicious treats that are 100% pooch safe and are perfect for showing a special four-legged friend just how much they mean to you when they’ve been a good boy or girl this Christmas day. Who doesn’t want a yuletide yummy while watching the Top Gear Christmas special?
Thanks for checking out our Doggy Christmas present guide. We hope that the man in shorts does deliver your dog’s letters to Santa Paws in time, but at least you have this list as a back up if he falls asleep or gets sidetracked by Lapland’s version of Crufts.
