All Four Paws – The River Dogs Are On A Treasure Hunt!
Hello folks, and welcome to another River Dogs dog blog, the best, most factual, and undoubtedly the funniest dog blog this side of the known universe (although I suppose we’re a little biased!). It seems that you’ve all been helping to tackle the question of ‘is there doggy daycare near me’ very well when meeting new dog owners in the park and while walking through the woods, as our Tadcaster Doggy Day Care centre is bustling with more furry friends than we could have ever dreamed of when we first opened (check our River Dogs Birthday blog to find out just how many dogs and different amazing breeds we have at River Dogs!). Our four-legged friends have got all four paws firmly on the ground as we approach Easter Sunday, and they’re currently practising for any Easter Egg hunts that they might be attending with their mums, dads, grannies, grandpas, and friends. Join us as they hone their treasure hunting skills and try to become the best Easter egg sniffer in the land.
Hitting The Treasure Hunt With All Four Paws!
The Yorkshire Doggy Day Care scene is full of budding teams of detectives and sleuths, but there are none as cunning and quick on the mark as the Springer Squad and the Pointer Patrol. They’ve been sharing their knowledge with the rest of the River Dogs Doggy Day Care gang and helping them to hit the ground running with all four paws. The first place task that our customers have been set is searching through larger objects, in this case, tyres. Deftly crawling on all four paws like a super spy, Marley has been checking out the tyres in the play yard with a little help from Nelly and their friends, looking for places that an egg could be hidden. With numerous farms hidden around on the best dog walks in Tadcaster, our wet-nosed novices might find themselves with this very situation when Easter Sunday comes around.
While Marley is searching inside his tyre, Norman and Duke are standing guard over the second tyre. A good investigator knows that he or she should always stake out the scene, and protect a discovery from other detectives that might want to steal the scoop right out from underneath all four paws. Norman is taking this role very seriously; even though it looks like he has just woken up from a very long nap, we can confirm that he has been alert this entire time…honestly.
All Four Paws Will Be Full Of Eggs After This Training!
The next thing that our trainee ‘egg ninjas’ are working on is the art of concealment. They must use all four paws wisely when on the hunt for any chocolaty prize, calling upon all of their patience and stealth in order to track down any potential leads. Here we have Murphy and Bruno sneaking a peek through our bone-shaped cut out as the Man in Shorts takes a pic of them in action. You’ll have to work on the element of surprise guys, we could hear your stomachs rumbling from out in the play yard!
Once the eggs have been found, the next crucial step is ensuring that your owners share their spoils with you…or so General Parker of the Springer Squad has told us at any rate. The ‘puppy dog eyes’ trick is something that can’t be bought, you have to work at it day and night. You’ve got to put all four paws to the grindstone and practice, practice, practice! Luckily for the River Dogs, they have a lot of time to do just that. Take a look at the following examples of this most technical of tricks and tell us that you’re not impressed! Comment on our Facebook if you recognise any of these cheeky faces!
So all that’s left now is for the River Dogs to put their new found skills into action. We’ve hidden a chocolatey looking tennis ball in the Daycare Centre for them to find. Ok gang, are you ready—whoah! One at a time! Looks like you’re going to have all four paws full of goodies at those Easter egg hunts folks, there’s no stopping this lot now!
